Maternity Leave Policy

Bharti Airtel has enhanced its parental policy benefits for its employees to give them much-needed time to look after their newborn kids. The company allows its female employees to get up to 26 weeks of paid maternity leave for up to two children. The company also provides two additional paid leaves per quarter for childcare to new mothers.

Post maternity leave, new mothers at Airtel can even opt for flexible working options of up to 24 weeks to get back to work at their own pace.

In case of legal adoption, if the child’s age is less than two years, female employees can avail of 12 weeks of maternity leave. However, if the child is above two years of age, then leave entitlement will be capped at six weeks.

Female employees returning to work will also get a special childcare allowance of Rs. 7000 per month till their child reaches the age of 18 months old. The special childcare allowance program will also be applicable in case of legal adoption.

Paternity Leave Policy

For newly become fathers who are primary caregivers, Bharti Airtel offers up to eight weeks of paid paternity leave for up to two children. Employees can avail of paternity leaves in one stretch, anytime from the birth of the child up to one year.

Airtel Sabbatical Leave Policy

Airtel allows its employees to take some time off to pursue personal goals such as higher education, traveling, etc. Employees can take up to one year of sabbatical leave to work on career goals and up to 6 months for attending to personal emergencies.

Half-day Leave for a Birthday Celebration

In Bharti Airtel, the employee can get a half day’s leave on the occasion of his/her birthday.

Bharti Airtel Vacation Policy

The company believes that an employee’s well-being is essential to ensure their productivity, engagement, and retention. Airtel offers a people-friendly leave policy to foster employee well-being and help them maintain a healthy work-life balance.
In line with that, Airtel offers compulsory ten days off in a year. The exact number of vacation days may vary depending on the business requirement and the employee’s tenure with the company.

Bharti Airtel is invested in the holistic well-being of its employees. The company understands that employees need time off, therefore launched a special leave category. Some of the additional leaves offered by Bharti Airtel include-

  • Ten days marriage leave to eligible employees
  • Airtel offers continuous five days wellness leaves to relax and recover
  • Female employees are eligible to avail of a menstrual leave of one day per month without taking any prior approval.
  • Employees are allowed to take three days as relocation leave for IJP and transfers. The relocation leave is provided over and above the existing leave quota.
