S&P Global Annual Leave Policy

Employees at S&P Global are entitled to 18 days of annual leave in a calendar year. The maximum number of annual leave that can be carried forward to the next year is 45. Employees can encash 8 annual leave at the end of every year. The annual leave credited to new joiners will be on a pro-rata basis.

S&P Global Casual Leave Policy

The company provides its Indian employees with 10 days of paid casual leave in a calendar year. Casual leaves are inclusive of global care leave and are balanced by casual leave. The casual leave credited to new joiners’ accounts will be on a pro-rata basis.

S&P Global Sick Leave Policy

S&P Global allows its employees to avail of 10 days of paid sick leave in a year. Employees can take sick leave in case of an illness, chronic disease, medical emergency, or injury. For new employees, the sick leave days will be pro-rated based on the month of joining the company.

The S&P Global also secures the salary of any employee who is unable to come to work due to a diagnosis of cancer or other serious illness for up to one year. The company ensures that the employee can focus on their treatment and recovery without worrying about work and money.

S&P Global Leave Without Pay or Loss of Pay Policy

Employees at S&P Global can avail of Leave without Pay for up to 30 calendar days. However, the employee is required to provide a detailed justification for the reason for such long leave, along with mandatory approvals and necessary documents.

Holidays at S&P Global India

There are 12 annual holidays given at S&P Global India. Out of these 12 days, 7 are fixed holidays (such as Independence Day, Christmas Day, etc.) and 5 floating holidays.

Global Care Leave

Under the Global Care Leave, employees are eligible to take 10 days of paid leave in a calendar year to look after their spouse/domestic partner, child, parent, or grandparents in case they are seriously ill. Global care leave is different from sick leave and can be availed for family care purposes. The Global paid care leave may be balanced against any statutory holiday that is already in place.

Give Back Days at S&P Global

S&P Global allows its employees to take five days of paid leave in a year to do some volunteering work in their community.

S&P Global Parental Leave Policy

S&P Global has recently enhanced its parental leave policy to extend its support to parents. Under the updated policy, the company offers 26 weeks of paid leave to all parents, regardless of their gender, who welcome a child through birth, surrogacy, adoption, or foster.

In addition to parental leave, S&P Global also provides nursing support, milk shipping in case of business travel, and daycare benefits to eligible employees who have children up to the age of 6 years.

S&P Global Unpaid Leave Policy

The company also has a separate policy for unpaid leave where employees can take up to a maximum of eight weeks away from work without exhausting their paid leave entitlements.

S&P Global Compassion Leave Policy

Employees are entitled to get compassion/bereavement leave following the loss of an immediate family member or loved one. The number of bereavement days provided to an employee will be determined depending on the relationship with the deceased.

S&P Global Sabbatical Leave Policy

Employees at S&P Global are eligible to take six months of paid sabbatical leave. The leave allows employees to take some time off work that can be used to pursue an interest or hobby, a higher education, or to create something.

Recharge Days at S&P Global

S&P Global understands the significance of taking time away from the office to pursue hobbies, spend time with your loved ones, handle personal matters, and focus on one’s well-being. Therefore, the company has come up with Recharge days that can be used for several reasons, such as

Note: There is no prescribed number of days that you can take under recharge days. An employee can consider talking to their reporting manager about taking time away from work to relax and rejuvenate.

Earlier this year, S&P Global decided to allow its eligible employees to take unlimited paid leaves for managing menopausal symptoms and five more days off in a year as Annual Wellness Days. The annual wellness days will be in addition to the company’s existing leave policy.
